We warmly welcome the arrival of the Victorian Department of Education's Phonics Plus resource. We've received a number of questions about how it compares with Little Learners Love Literacy, so in this blog we have provided some alignment grids and advice. As always, please get in touch if you have any queries!
Already teaching with Little Learners Love Literacy?
Phonics Plus is not a mandatory program or curriculum. The advice being given is, if you already have a quality explicit phonics program in place, then keep it in place. If you are using Little Learners Love Literacy we have created this detailed matching document to show coverage and to compare the sequence progressions between the two programs.

Using Phonics Plus as your program?
For those schools taking on Phonics Plus as your core program, you might want to explore additional resources for students and support for teaching staff.
It can take children much scaffolded practice to reach mastery and resources such as reading/spelling games and decodable books are critical for many children. This is how LLLL practice resources align with Phonics Plus (click to download the PDF):
